MORGANS Virtual Office

The MORGANS Virtual Office (MVO) product has evolved from the MORGANS Group's experience of marketing real estate for the past decade. Grox' involvement has been in the final stages of the technology implementation this year, as the exclusive technology partner providing software and management infrastructure.
The MVO project incorporates an exciting mix of hardware, software, and infrastructure challenges and is part of a larger vision for a "virtual office" leveraging leading edge technology.
The first MVO installation was launched in July, 2010 at the Castle Towers Shopping Centre in Castle Hills, NSW.
Launch features:
- Four workstations for interacting with the MORGANS Prestige Homes and One Stop Realty sites
- Each workstation has a full complement of hardware accessories (touchscreen, trackball, eftpos, webcam, motion sensor, ...)
- Each workstation features a VOIP handset which autodials MORGANS when taken off-hook
- The MORGANS Prestige/One Stop web sites leverage workstation hardware (thermal printer, phone off hook, motion sensor, ...)
- Above each workstation is an LCD screen running managed playlists for images and video (up to 1080p supported)
- Network connectivity via load balanced dual ADSL2 connections from diverse providers
- Remote monitoring/management for computers and power
- Local caching proxy server with whitelist access restrictions
- Wifi / captive portal (free access to whitelisted sites)
- PXE/Netboot config for workstations
- Streaming webcam video capture
There is an extremely comprehensive base to build some unique solutions on, and the configuration management allows each workstation to have independent (or shared) configuration for media playlists, starting urls, screensavers, and so forth.
In addition to the MORGANS Virtual Office, Grox has developed a integrated set of technical solutions for MORGANS which all connect to the larger vision of a "virtual office".
